For Stellar Corporate Responsibility in Leadership Development and Diversity & Inclusion
Thank you for your interest in the NELI AWARD—a symbol of leadership
achievement for companies that demonstrate stellar corporate responsibility
via a commitment to leadership development and diversity and inclusion. If
your company has an initiative with measurable results that are supported by
senior leadership, then we welcome your nomination for the NELI AWARD.
This year's NELI AWARD recipients will receive their awards along with the
2008 Eagle Award winners at the 16th annual, red-carpet CareerFOCUS Eagle
Awards Gala on Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Westin Michigan Avenue
Hotel on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Recipients will also be featured in
the November/December edition of CareerFOCUS Magazine — The Magazine Leaders
Read.
The NELI AWARD is an opportunity to punctuate your brand, embolden
high-potential leaders, and connect with customers. If your organization is
working to build a unifying culture and expand opportunities for
professionals of color, then we look forward to reviewing your nomination.
NELI AWARD submissions are evaluated with the following in mind.
- Business Rationale: There should be an explicit connection between the initiative and the business strategy.
- Senior Leadership Support: Upper management must demonstrate commitment to the initiative.
- Accountability: Formal monitoring mechanisms should support the initiative and measure its impact.
- Communication: Mechanisms should exist for engaging employees and keeping them informed.
- Measurable Results: There should be evidence to demonstrate improvement since the launch of the initiative.
